“Higher” was just released by the Anthem-Pop trio OUTLYA through Harbour Masters. The stratospheric vocals and crushing percussions of “Higher” will thrust you into a brighter place.
OUTLYA has only released two songs to date, and they are both worthy of your attention. The first track, “The Light,” has more of a blues style – think Coldplay mixed with The Black Keys. In comparison, “Higher” has more of a Bastille sound going on. Even with only two songs out to the public, the trio is slated to perform at the UK’s Latitude Festival this Summer alongside headliners Milky Chance and Dan Croll.
Speaking about the band’s latest release, frontman Will Bloomfield states that ,”‘Higher’ is a song about that place we all go to when things get grim. It’s a song with a simple message: sometimes it’s okay to retreat into our own imaginations. We wanted the track to sound bold and have this huge vocal sound like Pastor T L Barrett and the Youth For Christ Choir. We also wanted to create a strong tropical feel to help conjure up an image of our own desert island, the island of OUTLYA.”
A recent post from WonderlandMagazine had some questions from OUTLYA, in which they revealed that there will be a lot more music and videos to be released in 2017. We’ll be keeping an eye out for new releases and sharing them here!
